She has spoken at numerous meetings and provided articles for publication. She has consulted to long term care, assisted living and retirement communities for over 25 years.
She says her whole systems design involvement started at birth, being the youngest of 4 girls living on a dairy farm in Indiana. Farming recognizes that the whole sytem must be present and acknowledged for sustainable success. Looking at and including the whole system has assured her success in her consulting practice.
She has a passion for using the appreciative approach in her work: and life: looking for what has worked, what is currently working and what is dreamed to be possible. She bases her approach on Dr. David Cooperriders' work in Appreciative Inquiry and numerous other studies on the use of appreciation for life and business success.
Marilyn's unique background of dairy farmer's daughter, health care consultant, local, state and national board member, and education plus life experiences has prepared her for consulting and coaching in a wide range of situations and organizations.
